Frequently asked questions

Does Teleo work offline?
Yes, for most languages: speech recognition, scrolling and recording run on the device, with no internet or account required. If your device has no offline speech model for the script language (for example, Ukrainian), VoiceTrack can use Apple's servers with your permission — then it needs internet. On Android, VoiceTrack uses the system speech recognizer: it works offline if your phone has an offline speech model for the script language; otherwise your device's speech service (usually Google) may process the audio online.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad on iOS 18 and later, plus Android phones and tablets on Android 10 and later (voice tracking while recording video needs Android 13+). Portrait and landscape are supported.
Can I record video with the script overlay?
Yes. Teleo records video and audio while the text scrolls right next to the lens.
Which document formats can I import?
PDF, DOCX, RTF, and plain text. Scripts load without copy-paste. File import is part of Teleo Pro; typing and pasting scripts is free.
Is Teleo free?
Yes — the prompter, VoiceTrack and 1080p recording (up to 60 s, small watermark) are free. Teleo Pro removes the watermark and time limit and adds 4K, pro camera controls, file import and unlimited scripts: $29.99/year with a 3-day free trial, or $4.99/month. Cancel anytime in the App Store or Google Play.
Can Teleo write a script for me?
Yes, on iPhone and iPad with Apple Intelligence (iOS 26+). Tap + → Write with AI, enter a topic, length and tone, and Teleo drafts a script you can edit, read on the prompter and record. In the editor, Edit with AI shortens, simplifies or restyles the text. Everything runs on the device. Free users get 3 AI actions; Teleo Pro includes up to 100 per month.
Does Teleo collect my scripts or voice?
No. Scripts and videos stay on your device, and your voice is recognized on the device. Only if you allow Apple's server recognition for a language without an offline model does Apple process the audio. We only use anonymous Firebase analytics to improve the app. On Android, speech is recognized by your device's speech service (usually Google), on the device or online; Teleo itself never receives or stores the audio.
